Admissions Coordinator Summary:
In conjunction with the Marketing Director, is responsible for the development and implementation of business and marketing plans for the Center. Establishes strategic marketing plans to achieve the Center’s business growth objectives.
Admission Nurse – RN Qualifications:
- 1 year nursing experience preferred
- RN License is required in the state of Missouri
- Valid CPR certification
Admission Nurse – RN Essential Functions:
- Initiates and leads individualized nursing care plans
- Assesses and documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs
- Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders
- Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident’s needs and the person’s capabilities and qualifications
- Supervises, directs and evaluates LPN’s and CNA’s
- Administers medications
- Starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents
- Documents that treatment as required
- Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained a safe manner
- Others duties may be assigned
- Working directly with the Marketing /Admissions team
- Taking report for new admissions coming to the facility
- Transcribing new medication/treatment orders received from outside facility onto Physician order sheets
- Transcribing diet orders
- Transferring follow up lab orders into computerized lab system
- Setting up follow up appointments from hospital discharge, ensuring the nursing units and transportation department are aware of time and dates
- Notifying physician of new admission, verifying orders , faxing orders to pharmacy after verification
- Welcoming new residents , completing full body assessments, completing all documentation in Point Click Care
- Following up the next day after the admission date to ensure the admission process was complete
- Participating in the On-call rotation as a member of the Nursing management team
Admission Nurse – RN Skills:
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
