• Ensure all contractual agreements are approved by the Corporate Office
• Present MGM Leadership with reports that reflect the services and financial activities of the facility and other required special reports
• Ensure that the facility maintains accreditation, licensing and quality resident care through the establishment of quality / performance improvement monitoring programs and standards

The Administrator will demonstrate competency in the following areas:

• Knowledge of resident’s rights in long term care facilities and able to impart this knowledge to the staff

• Able to maintain timely records and documentation appropriate to Medicaid/Title XIX/Medicare/other reimbursement programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration or other related field; Master’s preferred

Licensed Practical Nurse – LPN Responsibilities:

• Initiates and leads individualized nursing care plans
• Assesses and documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders
• Administers medications
• Starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents
• Documents that treatment as required
• Ensures that supplies are utilized economically, and that equipment is clean and maintained a safe manner
• Other duties may be assigned

Licensed Practical Nurse – LPN Skills:

• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirements:

• CNA Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass a state-issued exam
• CNA Licenses: Required Valid certification as a CNA in the state of Iowa.
• Certified Nursing Assistant Experience: Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Essential Functions:

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Assists resident with range of motion exercises
• Provides for personal care and comfort
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas
• Assists residents with ambulation for short distance in facility
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Meets the communication needs of resident and family
• Communicates to nursing team changes in residents clinical condition
• Performs other tasks as assigned
